Closing Date for Entries Extended

CALLING ALL CATTLE EXHIBITORS!

We are extending the closing date for entries until Monday 3 April!

Nottinghamshire County Show is located within the High Risk (1 year testing) area for TB and we are mindful that the implications of this have placed severe restrictions on our longstanding exhibitors and particularly those from the Low Risk Area.  We are very appreciative of those who continue to support the Show and understanding of those who might need to take the decision not to enter under the present  DEFRA TB policy.

Entries are lower at the moment in our classes but we are supported by animals from both Low and High Risk areas which means that we will be holding a Livestock Parade on both days of the Show.

Agricultural Shows are a 'shop window' for promoting the very best in the industry so please do support us if you can.  Thank you.

THE SHOW GOES ON  ... but in the light of the recent DEFRA TB pre and post movement policy which came into operation on 6 April we have written to all our cattle exhibitors to make absolutely certain that everyone is aware of the salient points that will have an immediate impact on this year’s show.

We are pleased to announce that the British Goat Society will be awarding the BARONESS BURDETT-COUTTS Challenge Cup for the best qualifying Inspection-Production Goat over two years old and theEGERTON PERPETUAL Challenge Trophy for the AN securing highest points in Inspection and Milking.

These special awards are in addition to the rosettes and certificates annually awarded
